Recognising the need for change. When we talk about gender diversity in the tech industry, statistics tell us that women are still underrepresented, underpaid, and often discriminated against. As it stands, only 26% of the tech workforce are women.
Vega IT is making inroads when it comes to promoting the careers of women within the workplace. We are very proud of the advancement of our women that has been steadily increasing over the years. Right now, we have a ratio of women representing 36% of all people across our organisation and that figure is continuing to grow.

Health and exercise is a really important part of everyday life and we have invested significantly in these areas. “FitLife Activities” is Vega IT’s health and wellness programme, promoting a workplace culture that prioritises individuals and their wellbeing.
Our health. Our way. We have arrangements with many Gyms in every city where our Vega IT offices are located. Providing all our employees free access to go to the gym, crossfit, take yoga classes, MMA, boxing, swimming and more.
Enhancing wellbeing with smart nutrition. Recognising the need to promote healthy nutrition, we founded a quality restaurant named “Dobrok” because we want our colleagues to have the opportunity to enjoy healthy meals. Therefore giving all our colleagues the freedom to have access to quality healthy food, subsidised everyday.

Navigating life's challenges. Vega IT has been in business now for 16 years, during which, we have been through many challenges - The great financial crisis of 2007-08, Covid 19 and a Global recession to name just a few. During these not-so-favourable times, we are very proud of the fact that there has never been a reduction in salaries or reduced hours, or laying off any of our valuable employees.
Tough times don’t last. Tough people do. In the times of economic uncertainty, we invested significantly into training our people and focused on Business Development, Marketing and the Sales departments. We worked hard to attract new clients, and build even stronger relationships with our existing clients which enhanced loyalty and trust, connecting with them on a much deeper level.

Life at Vega ITBringing the IT world closer to students
Presenting diversified career paths and a multitude of possibilities. Visiting 15 schools across the country is our Vega IT Caravan Campaign - our goal of bringing the IT industry closer to students from different backgrounds and parts of Serbia. With information technology popular among pupils, we learnt that many of the kids were unfamiliar with the many roles and career pathways they can explore.
Encouraging curiosity. Showcasing diverse role models. Our second goal was to inspire these young minds, presenting our team to students who have achieved extraordinary feats in their respective fields of expertise. Encouragement to dream big and pursue their passions. Instilling confidence not needing to move to a foreign country after completing their studies.
Nurturing the next generation of problem solvers. We invited students to come to our offices in Novi Sad, to take a tour with us, to motivate them, and to join our IT world. Enhancing their understanding and igniting their passion. Seeing how our colleagues look everyday in our work environment at Vega IT made a huge impact. It was a great success.
