A new joint venture: Vega IT Nordic

Our dream is to create a happy and successful business that can allow us to make the world we live in a better place not just for us but for future generations. Over the last ten years, we have been investing a lot of effort, time, resources and knowledge into realizing our vision and we can say it has been worthwhile. But, this is only the beginning of our journey.

Our partners from Denmark wanted to establish a broker company that will do business with different software development companies from Eastern Europe and connect them with potential clients in the Nordic region. They had visited a variety of companies in Serbia and other countries before they met us.

We spent a few days having meetings where they had the chance to familiarize themselves with our culture and get an insight into how we do business and how much we invest in creating a thriving and happier working environment. They were delighted with what they saw and came up with an idea to establish Vega IT Nordic company together with us, to make use of the existing brand and help expand the business based on the same shared values. We were fascinated with our current partners’ enthusiasm, their deep understanding of IT industry and their previous experience so we decided to undertake this joint venture. The rest is history.

One of the reasons we decided to take the leap is because we are, at its core, a learning organization always looking for ways to gain more knowledge.

We recognized the extensive experience and excellent expertise of our colleagues from Denmark and we knew it was a perfect chance to learn something new. We recognized a great potential and possibility to create successful collaboration that will eventually lead to a bigger network of clients and successful development of top-notch products. Our colleagues from Vega IT Nordic focus on sales, business development, and account management primarily.

We believe that investing in people and knowledge is one of the main prerequisites of a successful business. As Benjamin Franklin said: “ An investment in knowledge pays the best interest”.

We asked our colleagues from Vega IT Nordic, Mila and Jovana, to tell us more about this business collaboration.

M: What made you recognize Vega IT as the best candidate to start a business collaboration with?

J: One of the things that distinguishes Nordic people from the rest of the business world is their entrepreneurial mindset. They are always open to communication and eager to discuss a wide variety of business ideas. What first drew us to the idea of building collaboration with Vega IT is the same entrepreneurial spirit, visionary insights and business attitude the co-owners Saša and Vladan have. They have the ability to recognize talented people and then lift them towards their potential.

M: What, in your view, are the essentials of a successful collaboration?

We were fascinated with our current partners’ enthusiasm, their deep understanding of IT industry and their previous experience so we decided to undertake this joint venture. The rest is history.

M: Definitely, a company culture that nurtures good relationships between people and that invests both in knowledge and the people. And, this is exactly what we like the most about Vega IT. We like the way Saša and Vladan treat their colleagues, and all those activities and small things they do on a daily basis to create a happier working environment. The company culture in Vega IT is representable and unique because it doesn't revolve only about financial goals and making money but has a higher purpose - to develop sustainable solutions that will enable them to make the world a better place to live. Essentially, this is in line with our philosophy and generally with the philosophy of people in the Nordic region, who constantly seek  an answer to the question: “Why do we wake up in the morning?” And, the people in Vega IT know the answer to the question.

M: How did you come up with the name Vega IT Nordic at the first place?

J: We wanted to join the concept behind Vega IT culture with our own business ideas and goals, and we also wanted to promote the culture as well as all the things we do for our colleagues and our community. That’s why it was crucial for us to create the name that will reflect our intention, our goals and the successful collaboration between us and Vega IT.

After our first conversation with Vladan and Saša, we started considering the potential collaboration with Vega IT without even seeing the offices. And, once we saw the environment and the working atmosphere in Vega IT, we thought: “This is what we want!”. But, above all, we were fascinated by the way Saša and Vladan talked about their company culture and how much effort they put into realizing their dream. If you invest in people, you also invest in the business. At the end of the day, the values are what matters.

M: Are you satisfied with the collaboration so far?

M: It is beyond our expectations! Although our headquarters is in Copenhagen and we operate from it, we have had an excellent communication with our colleagues from Vega IT in Serbia. Even if there was any communication gap, we managed to overcome it easily. No matter what kind of problem we face, all Vega IT people always show excellent support and are always there to help us. We have learned a lot not only in terms of business but also in terms of teamwork and values of a genuine corporate culture.

M: Future plans?

J: Our vision is to learn as much and as fast as we can and be the best at what we do. In the following period, we will focus our efforts on spreading our team and educating it to become professional and deliver the best possible results. With such great business partners as Vega IT, we don't have any doubt that we will achieve our goal.

Exchanging knowledge and learning from brilliant and imaginative people who are willing to follow our path is one of the things we strive for. We are looking forward to more business endeavors of this kind in the days to come. The future looks bright:)
